Requirements and responsibilities

Are you a highly skilled web designer that can produce world-class website designs? Apply for a freelance position with LiteBreeze today. We will pay you by the hour. We have much work available for the right person – tasks include:

  • Improving the existing design of our website including fonts, specific design elements and general consistency.
  • Apply new consistent design to the structure of our WordPress blog.
  • Create consistent design for our developer profiles (“CVs”).
  • Create consistent design for our back-end systems, ERP, staff panel, client portal etc.
  • Create consistently designed wallpaper graphics or our office. IBNLT a background that can be used for conference calls.

Your first paid job with us will be to provide a suggestion on an improved design for one of our landing pages (LPs): https://test.litebreeze.com/php-developers You only need to deliver the PSDs of your deliverables.

We prefer to use the same color scheme as already is used on our main website www.litebreeze.com and logo.

Current fonts need to change. Perhaps something which is easier to read. Evaluate fonts like Times New Roman and Georgia. Feel free to change the header section.

We are looking for a designer who can meet this level of quality expectation. Website designs that we like:

The design should look good on mobile as well, though we are not looking to put much effort into making the website very mobile-adapted during the first stage. So one column that can resize to mobile easily. Postmark does a great job at this; compare their mobile and desktop websites side by side and you see they change little. Saving time for our developers, allowing us to focus on higher value features.

Each row of text should be 80 characters wide including spaces, same as our existing website.

If you pass our screening process you will be selected as one of three final contenders. We will start with limited assignments of around 5-20 hours. The top performer will be selected as long-term partner.

Detailed custom graphics can be added to the website later. To start with, a neat structure and overall design is most important.

We like Pingdom’s drop-down and Postmark’s drop-down style. This will be used for the new Services navbar item.

The bottom section of Insightly is also neat, though a bit too large/tall. Feel free to experiment! Wave or zig-zag or something like that? Maybe a  version less “steep” than Insightly’s sitemap curve could look good.

LiteBreeze mainly focuses on complex web application development using PHP and Laravel. Our own web designers and WordPress developers are very occupied, hence we are looking for a freelancer.

More details

The existing “case study abstract” should fit in, e.g. “@spire is a CRM application that integrates with the Sage50 accounting software. It features valuable tools that are not available in Sage. E.g. warehouse stock control, sales forecasting, in-depth analytics etc. @spire and Sage are seamlessly synchronized. @spire is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution.”. This content is always the same length: 260 – 320 characters. It’s already fixed for all our projects so we can’t change it easily.

Use the exact same text as on existing LP and in the exact same order.

Testimonials can be separated from the existing case study section (Our clients).

We like subtle and simple background designs to make sections stand out, such as

  1. Pingdom’s grey lines and gradients
  2. How slack ties together two simple sections
  3. How Postmark demarcates a section.

List one success factor on each row. Use existing illustrations. Like we’re currently doing.

All sections from PHP LP need to be included so we can visualize the whole page.

You can also consider how typical content pages will look, like litebreeze.com/david-claesson. For these typical content pages we need just a slim standard header like on https://postmarkapp.com/why/delivery.

Place a Swedish and German flag somewhere in the header. These will go to litebreeze.se and litebreeze.de.

We can provide you with vectors of our logo, the success factors illustrations and client logos.

Another designer designed this sitemap for us which we are content with.

Regarding fonts, we need to consider the many prospects who come to the page for the purpose of actually learning more. A reference which uses fairly large font size as well which we think looks great. We’ll use the same on our blog and article pages in the future.

Developer profiles

  1. DP project section: copy from the Our clients section already designed. Save time. There’s plenty of other high-value work before we dig deeper into low-impact design features.
  2. We’ll include the navbar and sitemap as we currently do.
  3. Again I’d prefer to make minimal changes between mobile and desktop versions. Save time.
  4. Ignored the anonymized (blurred out) sections. They will be removed.
  5. “Two-column layout” with heading on the left can be merged into one version. Characters per line for work experience and similar sections: 80. In general the design should be fairly simple and consistent with the rest of our web presence.
  6. DPs will be “anonymized” without contact details etc to prevent head hunters contacting our staff. As you can see we retract stuff like previous employer name, university name etc. How can this be done in a clear way?
